Pros: High germination rate, fast root development
Cons: Price, packaging
This will be an on going review throughout the plants life-cycle. Currently, I am reviewing this product at the initial seed germination stage: 10/26/18. The rating, pictures, and review will add/change as the plants develop to properly reflect all aspect of the plant. That being said, I solidly give this 4 leafs out of 5 at this time.
The seed stage is the most exciting to me, across all plants, because it's the beginning of a new plant adventure/experiment/learning opportunity. These seeds popped extremely fast and are looking strong at only a week into planting! I soaked the seeds in a 48 hour bath using Bio-Fizz (click here for that review.) Between the genetics of this plant and the bio-fizz soak, these plants are off to the races! These plants will be bonzai experiments as I love both things! The inspiration comes from an Instagram account called budzai (clever) who is doing this exact thing! I will be in communication with Budzai on Instagram to achieve something like what they do (check them out seriously!!)
Cons so far are out of Dynasty's control for the most part. Oregon law makes it ridiculous to buy seeds, ($10 a seed - max 10 seeds a day). I get why they have the law that way, because if it were more affordable I would get every strain available in the greater metro area!
Beyond pricing, I'm not a fan of the "one time use" packaging. The packaging is very shiny and "ooo ahhh", but I did not purchase because of it; I bought because of this plant image. The inside, padded re-sealable packaging of the seeds is great as I will reuse over and over for other seeds. My recommendation is to move to a recyclable outer package.
Pros: Works flawlessly, easy to use, great storage ability, rugged
Cons: Material dry percentage requirement, Price
Straight to the point, the Trimbag dry trimmer worked flawlessly, to my surprise, and I give it a full 5 leafs recommendation. The trimmer worked almost a little too good if you look at the close-up trim picture; sugar leaf present.
The product comes clipped together in a carrying/storage bag. All are rugged and decently built. The trimbag is a spring, so it stays open and is rigid for easy loading. The zippers can get in the way during large loading, but not enough to cause a "con". The zippers are magnetically attached during shaking. One magnet did come detached during shake due to trim filling the tip. Again, this flaw is not a con because it was super easy to fix and didn't hold up trimming. I shook the bag a good twenty times in multiple directions using the different handle configurations. After shaking, I set the bag down and true to the video--the material was trimmed!
Here are the cons:
All trimmers seem to have a "goldielocks" requirement to the bud relative humidity (RH); needs to be just right to trim. This trimmer requires pretty decently dried bud; ~15% RH. I tried with semi wet bud, 30%, and the shake/trim was not as effective. Having the time/space to dry out bud to the 15%-ish RH requirement may not be available for all. I ended up drying my bud on a door in the garage #HomeGrownOperation.
The only other con is the price. This retails for about $300+. The product definitely is worth every penny, but coming up with a spare $300 these days can be hard. The good news is you will be getting all that trimming time back which is priceless.
Pros: Affordable, decently built, easy to use, easy to clean
Cons: Confusing instructions, lack of features, no alarm shutoff
I have more positive things to say than negative so I will start with the negative. My main issues with this product are the instructions being vague and the lack of options/buttons on the thermometer.
Due to the current legal-status of cannabis in 2018, I fully get why they keep their instructions broad (where I work does the same thing). That being said, I do wish for the instructions to specifically state how to use the product with cannabis instead of supplementing with internet searching.
The thermometer worked great overall and I loved that it has magnets and a stand. I would have the thermometer input on the display be on the top instead of the side for balance reasons. The issue is when the oven breached the max setting. The alarm would beep non-stop. I put a band-aide over the alarm hole to muffle the sound hoping it would stop but when it didn't I eventually bumped up the setting so the alarm would go off.
There is no timer on the thermometer which I found silly in 2018. In a perfect world i see the thermometer use the alarm to notify of settings/time and a timer built into the product.
Overall, the cannabis got decarbed and the box cleaned easy for another go around.
All this being said, the silicone box is great and now i know the calibration of my oven!

Pros: Recyclable bottle, easy to follow instructions
This product is still being tested by me. Its instructions indicate the product can be used in seed germination as well as throughout the plant development; I intend to try both. This review is based on Bio-fizz being used in the "bloom and ripening stages" with fantastic results. I was also using a host of other products in conjunction with this product, therefore I cannot give all the credit to Garden Prodigy's Bio-fizz. Over the winter, I will be using this product in an isolated grow to see how it performs on its own. Leave a comment below to place a bet on what you think will happen!
I have finally tried Bio-fizz in seed germination and had fantastic results! After soaking in the instructed 48 hours (not a minute more or less), all four seeds had split their shells and were ready to pop. I placed the seeds in Hydroton, netcups, and plain tap water. The root development was explosive which is either due to the genetics of the seeds or bio-fizz's effect on the seed shells.
My first go at cannabis seeds left a bad taste in my mouth. I tried 20 seeds, at $10 a pop, and only managed to get 1 plant out of it; 5 seeds cracked. #StillHurts
It took scrubbing the seeds with peroxide a bacteria bath for those seeds to crack. The fact this product made it easy and successful the first 4 out of 10 seeds with no effort is exactly what this product advertises and it's exactly what happened. 5 stars!
Pros: Dense yields, easy to measure/pour, 8oz lasts a lot of waterings
Cons: Live bacteria/gloves required
I introduced Impello Biosciences - Tribus Bloom in the first 2 weeks of flowering. The overall resin production and density changed noticeably on the plants. Impello's website states that Tribus Bloom™ increases flower quality and yields by maximizing nutrient availability and promoting growth through billions and billions of plant-microbe interactions. Due to harvest results, I have concluded that this is true. I will be trying Tribus Bloom in a kratky method over the winter to see exactly how this product can work in a side by side. I will update this post when completed. Have experience with this product?! Got questions?! Lets chat in the comments below!
